Libraries
The
library is an important community building. It houses traditional reading and
educational materials, serves as an introduction to young readers, a place
for computer and internet research and learning, and a place for community
meetings and educational programs. We have focused on library design,
including new buildings and the challenge of adapting historic libraries to
present and future requirements. The library building must be functional but
also should be an inviting place to read and work, and a community symbol.
